Apparently, Jay-Z isn't your typical celebrity team owner. So says Nets general manager Billy King, who went on the record earlier this week to pull back the curtain and let the world know that Hova does more for the Nets than just sit courtside and try to recruit the occasional free agent with his star power. "I think a lot of those so-called guys that have parts of teams, they vanish," King said. "There was one in Cleveland, what was his name? Usher. They haven't seen him. I think Nelly in [Charlotte]—haven't seen him. But Jay-Z, I think players see that it's more of a passion for him, not just something he's involved in." Then again, maybe Jay is a little too involved sometimes, eh? Augh! [via New York Daily News]
