The well-known environmental crusader Greenpeace, has devised a captivating donation tactic. With the help of French ad agency DDB and web developer Les 84, the organization has crafted a website to document the building of the latest ship in their fleet, the Rainbow Warrior.

Currently under construction in Germany, the interactive site allows potential donors to check out the boats plans, take a virtual tour, and watch the actual construction in almost-real-time through webcams placed in the shipyard. Then, if visitors are feeling generous, they can pick specific elements and parts of the boat they'd like to "purchase". Want to be responsible for the third starboard porthole? Some anchor rope? Click, pledge, and its, in a way, yours. You'll even receive a certificate of ownership documenting your purchase of a little environmental responsibility.

Launched just 20 days ago, the Rainbow Warrior is already 32% complete and is slated for completion in the Fall of 2011. Feeling generous? Pick a part and help a good cause come together.
