While we're not exactly brimming with excitement about the news that Ron Artest is planning to drop a new mixtape at NBA All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles next month, we are excited to hear that Ron-Ron's Lakers teammate Pau Gasol won't be on it. Why would he be on it, you ask? Glad you asked. Apparently, Artest thinks his Spanish buddy has "good rhythm" (pause?) and wanted him to drop a few bars for the project. But Gasol's been too busy actually, you know, playing basketball to get into the booth. "I don't have any freestyle lines unfortunately," he said recently. "I wish I did. But I haven't been working on it." Hey, Pau, not that we're complaining about your excuse—but you don't see that stopping Ron-Ron, do you? [via Lakers Blog]
