One of Mercedes-Benz’ ultimate hooning machines just got a bit more refined. The 2012 C-Class-on-steroids wasn’t supposed to see the light of day until Switzerland’s Geneva Auto Show in March, but thanks to the power of the internet, the cat’s out of the bag.

The most noticeable differences are in the car’s front fascia, thanks to SL-styled headlamps and those trick LED running-lamps that have been popping up everywhere. The theme carries on to the taillights, but that’s not the best part. The car’s Development Package bumps the horsepower to 481, while getting rid of the mph limiter, for a top speed of 174 mph.

To handle all that extra power, the C63 will also get a new transmission: a seven-speed Speedshift MCT auto, that uses an ultra-engineered clutch package, that will reportedly deliver smooth, immediate shifts. Expect to see the C63 on sale this fall—price to be announced soon. Hey, something has to stay secret.
