As most of us Nike addicts and football fiends already know, the writing is on the wall for Reebok's NFL contract. In 2012, Nike will take over as the official supplier for on-field jerseys. What does that mean? NFL teams will be getting some of that innovative swag that you see on the uniforms of their collegiate counterparts. Last week, Nike invited us to Cowboys Stadium in Dallas to check out a preview of what your favorite NFL stars will be rocking in 2012. Read on for a full description as well as pictures from the event.
The new Pro Combat uniforms will first be seen on the backs of collegiate teams like Oregon, Boise State, and Florida as they take the field for their upcoming BCS bowl games. The jerseys provide the ultimate in breathable protection and have added Nike Flywire, Deflex padding, and carbon fiber as some of the technological improvements from the current uniforms. Last but not least, Nike unveiled the Alpha Talon cleat, which features Kevlar laces, retractable talons, and Flywire to make it the most advanced football cleat ever. See pics of all below...
