Kerby Jean-Raymond, the designer behind the New York-based fashion label Pyer Moss, is stepping down from his role as global creative director at Reebok. Jean-Raymond’s departure from the brand will be effective on March 1.

“I enjoyed my time with Reebok and wish the company well in all of its future endeavors,” Jean-Raymond said in a statement.

Jean-Raymond joined the brand in 2017 and released several collaborative footwear and apparel collections under his Reebok by Pyer Moss line during his stint as global creative director. One of the most recent Reebok sneakers he released was the Experiment 4 Fury Trail by Pyer Moss.

“We want to sincerely thank Kerby for his many contributions to Reebok,” Reebok’s president Matt O’Toole said. “The positive impact he has made on the brand will be felt for years to come. We wish him the very best.”

In August, Authentic Brands Group (ABG) announced that it purchased Reebok from Adidas for $2.5 billion, but there’s no confirmation that the sale influenced Jean-Raymond’s departure from the brand.

Despite his departure from Reebok, the brand confirmed that the final offering from the Reebok by Pyer Moss line will hit shelves in late March.
