While the Zoom KD IV may have launched a couple of months ago, the development process of building and refining the shoe began long ago, dating as far back as the fall of 2010.

During that time, Nike Basketball Design Director Leo Chang made quite a few changes to what would become Kevin Durant's fourth signature model, like adjusting the design lines along the upper and modifying the pattern shell of the Hyperfuse constructed body.

Take a look below at a tape-up revision sample with Chang's hand drawn notes and updates, along with an early round pattern kit in its flat layered form.
