Yesterday we took a look at the original Air Jordan XII "Playoffs" colorway on Michael's feet on the Card of the Week, and today we'll see it again, but this time in motion in this classic Air Jordan commercial. Watch as Michael takes off from the free throw line while you hear him say:
"Challenge me...Doubt me...Disresepect me...Tell me I'm older...Tell me I'm slower...Tell me I can no longer fly...I want you to."
By the 1996-1997 season when this commercial was made, Michael Jordan knew he was no young pup anymore. After getting a little older and wiser, Michael urges his opponents to doubt his ablilities, because he knows it will only give him even more motivation to succeed. Whether it was motivation from haters, the shoes, or something else, Michael succeeded once again in 1997 by leading the Chicago Bulls past the Utah Jazz in the NBA Finals. He would do it once again a year later in 1998, proving he was still not too old to be the best in the game.
