The fact that this colorway was available at more stores than usual is a good sign for people who actually want to buy them and not resell them. But on the flipside, it also probably means the silhouette is on the way to jumping the shark. Either way, every spring season calls for an all-white sneaker, so it might as well be these ones for me.

Nike's execution around the Air Max 97's marketing was excellent. The slow trickle of pairs to market helped build up hype and kept people guessing and thirsting. They feel a bit too ubiquitous to pull out for regular wear, but I'm happy to have an icy pair in my personal stash.

Prior to the 2016-17 NBA season starting I made a bet with a colleague that Russell Westbrook would win MVP. I consider these a victory lap. What’s even better is after playing in the 31s and wishing they stuck with the 29 tooling for a third straight year, I’ll finally have a chance to play in what I expect to be one of the best-performing shoes ever.

Inspired by the "dark rainclouds looming over Vancouver," the collaboration's "Triple Black" color scheme and leather details sync perfectly with the Canadian retailer's aesthetic. Yes, there are other Boost models that look similar from afar, but much like the way the WTaps or Acronym items found on Haven's floor are more coveted than your average jawns, details (and stories) matter.

A sneaker that probably should have never worked in the first place, the Nike Air More Uptempo is still running strong in 2017. While the Supreme collaborations stole headlines, it was the return of the '05 "Hoop Pack" colorway that really caught my eye. The aggressive, Bulls-flavored colorway wasn't part of the original lineup, but comes across as a widely-available Scottie Pippen PE.

The 2013 run of Air Jordan 1 releases was a very painful experience in that I basically missed out on everything that I wanted, Royals included. In my opinion—besides the obvious Chicago Bulls-inspired colorways—the Royals are one of the most important Air Jordan 1 colorways ever. When I heard they were coming back remastered, nothing was going to stop me from adding a pair to my collection. The sneaker is beautiful, I had to have it. Thankfully, there are still some good people out there that are willing to look out and I ended up with two pairs. Mission accomplished.
