It's the eve of the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 "Black" drop and the madness has already begun. With the release of Kanye West's latest collaboration with adidas being one of the most coveted of the season, fans across the world are lining up at sneaker shops for a chance to cop.
At a Foot Locker line up in the UK, fans who gathered days in advance — many of whom were the first ones there — were left fuming as tickets were given out and they were left empty-handed. In a report from the Standard, a group of a 100 or so individuals pushed their way to front of the line and managed to snag most of the 62 tickets that were handed out. Deep Patel, a 15-year-old student who was amongst those that spent days camping out, commented that he took umbrage with the FL manager, but was ignored. He would go on to state that while he does have a "passion for trainers," he wasn't about to "start a fight over a pair of trainers."
The situation, unfortunately, is a fairly common one when it comes to these types of overly hyped releases. A proper solution has yet to be found, and until one is discovered, we'll continue to hear more stories just like this. Kanye has gone on record stating, "Eventually everybody who wants Yeezys will get Yeezys." It just doesn't appear that now is the time.
