To celebrate the worldwide sporting event that is the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Adidas is bringing back a popular style from the late '90s commonly linked to soccer legend David Beckham. The Predator Accelerator is returning in its original cleated form, as well as in a training silhouette for off the pitch.

The vibrant "Electricity" color scheme is designed to mimic the original pair that released back in 1999. Solar yellow and solar red cover the majority of the leather upper. Black leather is also peppered throughout the design on the toe area, Trefoil logo on the heel, sock liner, and Three Stripes branding. Other notable details include a fold-over tongue and Boost cushioning in the midsole of the off-field version. The cleat is also given a modern upgrade— a flexible Primeknit upper.

As a tribute to the year the silhouette originally made its debut, only 1999 pairs are releasing. The Adidas Predator Accelerator cleat and sneaker versions will both be available at adidas.com and select Adidas stores on Thursday, July 5 for $250 (shoe) and $350 (cleat).
