Could a "White/Red" Air Jordan IV Be Dropping This Year?

An "Alternate 89" Air Jordan IV sample leaked on the Internet today. What's the story?

Jordan Brand isn't going to drop any Jordan IIIs for awhile, so the next best thing to the III is the IV, which is seeing a steady amount of "Remastered" retros in 2015. Another potential IV to be released from JB just hit the Internet, thanks to infamous leaker Shoulee, but it has the collective sneaker scene confused. The IVs, which are "White/Red," have "Alternate 89" placed on the inside of the heel tabs. And no one, at least publicly, knows what it means.

The Air Jordan IV debuted in 1989, and this "White/Red" colorway could be viewed as an alternate to the traditional, O.G. "Fire Red" IVs. We'll wait for confirmation from Jordan Brand before we draw that conclusion.

For now, all we have are these early images.
