According to a report in The London Evening Standard, Nike and Adidas are being ill dickheads to small business owners. Apparently, the footwear giants will be severing ties with any accounts unable to sell 25,000 GPB (roughly $41,000 USD) of their gear a year. At first, I was like, “Damn, Nike and Adidas, are really that hard up for cash? Almost every single person I know owns at least one pair of your sneakers, so that's kinda hard to believe.” But then I was like, “Damn, I get it, you guys. It's like if one of your boys consistently couldn’t sell his share of the dope and it's starting to affect the bottom line." And if there’s one thing you don’t fuck with when it comes to Phil Knight, it’s the motherfucking bottom line.” And don’t get all "we have to save small business” on me. Every single one of you reading this just goes into stores to try shit on before buying it cheaper somewhere else on the Internet. I SEENT IT.

The one good thing that will come out of this? Try-hards who think that opening a store is easy are automatically barred from trying to become the North American Tres Bien. No way you’ve got 41 grand to blow on Tier Regular Nikes. Here's to barriers of entry!
