All of this senseless sneaker violence is getting out of hand.
According to WJLA, a teenager in Washington D.C. was robbed and stabbed in the back over his Air Jordan sneakers. The incident occurred yesterday morning, across the street from Hospitality High School, as the 14-year-old boy was walking to school.
Law enforcement officials told WJLA that two men approached the teen from behind, stole his sneakers and cell phone, and stabbed him in the back. A chase ensued as the injured teen followed the assailants onto a subway at the Shaw-Howard U Metro station. The criminals managed to get away, but a police officer spotted the bloodied teen and called for an ambulance.
The teen was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The case is under investigation by police and the two robbers remain at large.
