Kicks of the Day: Nike Air Max 1 Ultra Moire

Last year, Nike celebrated the Air Max 1's 27th anniversary in a major way with Air Max Day. For 2015, the game-changing runner has been reworked to give it a more modern spin. The latest chapter in the Air Max series is the Ultra Moire iteration, and the first colorway might just look familiar.

The Air Max 1 Ultra Moire is still the same AM1 that 'heads know and love, but with updated tooling. Outfitted in the O.G. red color scheme, the sneaker is equipped with a slimmed-down outsole, which reduces weight and offers more flexibility. The upper also receives a bit of an update with perforated leather panels instead of the usual suede and mesh combination. At the core of it all is the AM1's signature visible Max Air unit at the heel.
