These ASICS Were Customized to Look Like Jordan 1s
A sneaker customizer made "Bred" ASICS Gel Lyte IIIs.
The "Black/Red" color scheme will always be connected to Air Jordans for obvious reasons. While the combination doesn't explicitly belong to one brand, the usage of the two bold colors has become a signature element to Jordan Brand a la the "Bred" nickname. We certainly can't label all sneakers as Air Jordan-inspired works just because it uses these two colors, but there are exceptions when the inspiration is clear-cut, like with this pair of custom ASICS.
Designed by known sneaker customizer Dank Customs, the ASICS Gel Lyte III "Bred" not only incorporates the black and red color scheme, but even has the color-blocking down perfectly. From the red toe box and black toe cap to the quarter panel details and and the red heel counter, the ASICS' nod to the Air Jordan 1 "Bred" is an obvious one. Peep the detailed photos, and just imagine if Dank did an entire run of Gel Lyte IIIs inspired by Js. Dude would kill it.
