Vans has unveiled a brand new skate shoe that’s designed in collaboration with team rider Lizzie Armanto.
The new silhouette is the Lizzie, pictured here, which will make its retail debut as part of the Vans x Lizzie Armanto collection arriving this month. According to Vans, this will serve as Armanto’s first signature skateboarding model with the brand and she will be the first female skater in the last 20 years to get her own Vans shoe.
The Lizzie features a high-cut leather upper that’s designed with a slimmer fit that’s tailored to her foot. Cushioning the underfoot is EcoCush foam that provides an increased board feel, while the Duracap toebox and side stripe feature reinforced materials for added durability. Completing the design is a micro-waffle tread and Sick-Stick rubber for grip.
“I really enjoyed the process of creating a shoe from the ground up,” Armanto said. “I felt compelled to make a shoe that is simple, functional, feels good on your feet, and has a bit of soul, and feel proud of what we were able to accomplish.”
The Vans x Lizzie Armanto collection will be released on March 10 at Vans.com and at select Vans retailers.
