A family in New Tampa, Fla., is extending the passion of their late son this season by donating Nike sneakers to children in need.
In the above video, WFTS Tampa Bay tells the story of Dick and Kathy Strom, whose 19-year-old son Patrick died in a car crash three years ago. As evidenced by the shots of his closet stocked with shoe boxes, Patrick was a collector. This season, the Stroms decided to honor him by partnering with Nike to create a non-profit organization that brings shoes to those who need it most.
“We’re so into these Nike shoes because, only the best for Patrick,” said Kathy.
The organization, Tricks and Kicks, has brought brand new footwear to places like Everyday Blessings, a children's home in the area.
