In the same way that the brand turned to classic novels for inspiration during last year's extended "Connoisseur Authors" group, New Balance will this year use guitars as its muse for a sneaker set.
Showing up first from that group is the New Balance 1400 shown here. The shoe isn't explicit about exactly which style of guitar it's connected to, but the burnt yellow looks sort of like the same shade as the wood grain on some Fender Telecasters. The entirety of the "Guitar Collection" sneakers from New Balance will come with specially branded NB guitar picks.
The New Balance 1400 "Guitar Pack" pair, a Made in USA silhouette, can be had now at Hanon.
