One of the most decorated basketball players of all time is going to add another accolade to his resume this fall, with Michael Jordan set to receive a Presidential Medal of Freedom at a ceremony on Nov. 22.
On Wednesday, President Barack Obama named Jordan among the 21 people who will receive the award this year, Yahoo Sports reports. Fellow retired NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar will also receive a Presidential Medal of Freedom.
The White House will stream the event live online on Nov. 22 for anyone hoping that a Jordan acceptance speech will create some new version of the Crying Jordan meme.
