CNCPTS is using its latest batch of adidas sneakers to nod to infamous capers in New York City and Boston. The store employs the adidas EQT Support 93/16, a tech-upgrade on a heritage Three Stripes runner, to convey themes connected to the 1978 Lufthansa heist and the raiding of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum's Blue Room in 1990.
The green pair represents Boston, its tonal colorway matching with that of the Blue Room at the aforementioned museum. The black/white one is New York's entry, with its Lufthansa connection perhaps being familiar to readers for its part in Goodfellas.
These sneakers, each priced at $170, release on Sep. 3 in-store at CNCPTS NYC at 10 a.m. and online via CNCPTS at 12 noon. The sneakers will release globally at additional adidas retailers on Sep. 10. The stores below will all carry this CNCPTS collab on Sep. 10.
