Before Blake Griffin was a Jordan Brand endorser, he was just a kid who liked Air Jordans.
Griffin talks about his sneaker habits prior to his becoming a member of the Team Jordan family in the above video from Foot Locker. In it, he says that the "Cool Grey" Jordan 11 is his favorite Air Jordan, and that the first pair he ever got was the "Taxi" Jordan 12, which he had to stand in line for.
"My brother and I stood in line," Griffin says. "But, fortunately, growing up in Oklahoma, it wasn't too long a line. My mom took us – she wasn't happy about it."
Griffin also recounts a tale that should be familiar to readers about doing his best not to scuff up his prized pair of sneakers.
