Taylor Crisman just might have gotten away with his $194,000 bank robbery if he'd not left his Nike LeBron 12s behind at the scene of the crime.
The Mansfield News Journal says that Crisman and alleged accomplice Chris Hill were stopped by police in Galion, Oh., this week and are accused of forcing a KeyBank employee to rob a bank in Ontario, Oh. The FBI report on the events that transpired says that Crisman left his sneakers at the house of the bank employee.
A cooperating witness was shown a photo of the Nike LeBron 12s left at the home, which he said matched a pair Crisman had. The witness also said Crisman had not worn the sneakers since, and bought a new pair of Nike LeBrons.
Crisman allegedly broke into the bank employee's house on Nov. 5, taking his family hostage and forcing him to fetch $194,845 in cash from the bank.
Crisman is apparently not big on brand loyalty, having stuffed the money from the heist in a grey Under Armour duffel bag.
Crisman is charged with bank robbery and is being held by federal marshals.
