Yesterday, the Louisville Cardinals and Michigan Wolverines set up the first all-adidas NCAA National Championship Game since 2008 after winning their respective Final Four matchups in Atlanta.
After trailing most of the game, Louisville stormed back in the second half, erasing a 12-point deficit and outscoring Wichita State by 16 points in the final 13 minutes to advance with a 72-68 victory. Sharpshooter Luke Hancock sparked the rally, dropping 20 points on 6-of-9 shooting and 3-of-5 from downtown.
On the other side, it was Michigan that jumped out to an early lead, holding a 36-25 advantage over the Syracuse Orange at halftime. Boeheim's boys made a valiant effort in the final frame, but the Wolverines made enough plays to hold on for 61-56 win. Mitch McGary's 10 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists led the way.
