Since the WNBA's inaugural season in 1997, teams like the Charlotte Sting, Cleveland Rockers, Sacramento Monarchs, Utah Starzz and even the Houston Comets have seen their franchises go up in smoke. One of the original WNBA squads that has stuck around for the entire ride are the Sparks of Los Angeles, who celebrate their 15th Anniversary this season. To commemorate this milestone for the Sparks, Nike is releasing a limited team colorway of the Zoom Hyperfuse 2011.
Deviating a bit from the usual purple and gold colorways we see with the Lakers, the Sparks Hyperfuse 2011 is actually teal-based with the familiar purple and gold details filing in the side mesh panels, tongue, inner liner and midsole branding tab.
The Sparks edition Hyperfuse 2011 will be released on Tuesday at Staples Center's Nike Vault.
