Back in 1986, etnies was established as the first skateboarder-owned and operated global action sports footwear and apparel company. Twenty-five years later, the brand and owner Pierre-Andre Senizergues celebrate their Quadranscentennial (I Google'd the hell out of that) with the release of the latest PAS signature collection featuring Pierre's original pro model, the Senix. The etnies PAS: NEXT 25 collection pays tribute to four major cities that Pierre-Andre has skated in and where etnies has strong roots: Paris, France; Hong Kong, China; Vancouver, Canada; and Los Angeles, California.
Not only does the PAS: NEXT 25 Collection reflect on the past, but it also explores the future of etnies. Unexpected material usage was explored, as well as new laser-etching techniques. The production is offset to be completely carbon neutral. Four exclusive retailers have been handpicked in the key international spots that inspired the collection, including Colette (Paris), Double Park (Hong Kong), Livestock (Vancouver) and Blends (L.A.).

Paris - SENIX SPIRE:
One of the world’s most beautiful cities, Paris boasts incredible classical architecture. The SENIX SPIRE gravitates toward this and gives a new perspective as the Eiffel Tower is deconstructed and suggests something extra-terrestrial, yet tribal in the intricate laser-etched design.
Hong Kong - Senix Ville
The Chinese culture is rampant with modern and futuristic design that embraces the sculpting and simplistic structure of their ancient art forms; it is demonstrated all throughout the skyline of the great city of Hong Kong. In this same spirit, the SENIX VILLE silhouette is a full-grain leather, dressier low-top with laser-etched electronic-esque lines mimicking the subtle shape of the Senix side panels, which takes it into a new dimension.
Vancouver - Senix Venture
Breathtaking mountains are the backdrop of the modern city of Vancouver and no other silhouette would do, than a combat boot inspired skate shoe. Premium leather, ballistic nylon for extra durability and all the bells and whistles that you can expect, SENIX VENTURE is a juxtaposition just like its city – where nature meets the street. The boot cuff takes the beauty of the cityscape and mountains inside with illustrated detailing.
Los Angeles - Senix Hero White
Exploring where the future may take us, the SENIX HERO delivers a concept shoe that is inspired by a surf booty that can transcend water into the city streets of Los Angeles, where super heroes are born. The classic neoprene surf material is applied to the aesthetics of a sneaker giving it a beachy, yet street feel where comfort reigns supreme. Just like the city lights at night, the grid lines carry a highly reflective material that takes one immediately into what the NEXT 25 years may hold and offers three color options: Red, White and Blue.
