It looks like you can cross another shoe off the list of Jordan gems that have never been retroed. Once brought back in 2004 in low-cut form, the "Obsidian" Air Jordan 12 will be making a true return next summer. The shoe, which originally released in 1997, features and obsidian leather upper with white mudguards on the lateral and medial side panels. Fresh Blue takes care of the inner liner, while University Blue is used for Jumpman and "TWO3" embroidery on the tongue.
If that wasn't big enough news, the classic "Playoff" colorway is set to come back as well. Worn by MJ en route to ring number five, this pair sports a black leather upper, contrasting white leather panels, metallic silver eyelets and varsity red Jumpman branding.
Retail figures to be around $160. No official dates on either pair yet, but stick with Sole Collector for updates.
