To commemorate the official launch of the Adidas Legacy program, the brand hosted the 'World’s Best Career Day’ this weekend in Chicago, where several different NBA stars and celebrities joined to engage with the local students. Those students were able to visit various career-focused labs in sneaker design, apparel, filmmaking, music and more to learn more about the career paths they're interested in.
Adidas Legacy is a program with the goal of empowering student athletes from underrepresented communities. Its latest endeavor provides 240 student-athletes from eight different Chicago public schools professional resources, mentorship, and career assistance in fields of their interest. The program initially launched in Los Angeles with 11 schools and 330 students in 2017, but has since expanded to cover New York and now Chicago.
Celebrities and entertainers like Jonah Hill, Ninja, and Pusha T were in attendance along with NBA and WNBA stars like Derrick Rose, James Harden, Tracy McGrady and Candace Parker.
