His Yeezys, while not as valuable on the resell market as they once were, still sell out with relative ease on release day. The Adidas Yeezy Basketball has grown to be one of the most highly-anticipated silhouettes from Mr.West in quite some time. That's why when the rapper steps out in a new pair of sneakers, people pay attention.
The newest model to debut is a far cry from the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 or various chunky runners that have become commonplace from the line. It's actually a far cry from traditional footwear in general. Yesterday, Ye stepped out in a sock-like design sitting atop an ultra thin outsole. It looked more like the inner bootie of a sneaker than a final product. The shoe could merely be a prototype. It isn't even entirely clear up to this point if the design is an official Yeezy silhouette at all, but that didn't stop people from immediately roasting it.
As once could expect, social media didn't let Kanye slide when photos of him in this new silhouette hit the internet. 50 Cent, in typical trolling fashion, threw a jab of his own at Ye for his new gear on Instagram.
