After debuting his first in-house sneakers from his eponymous fashion label, Heron Preston is once again catching attention with his first Nike footwear collaboration.
The former Swoosh employee and close associate of both Virgil Abloh and Kanye West featured his Huarache E.D.G.E. sneakers on the Paris Fashion Week runway today as part of his Fall/Winter 2019 showing. The shoes, which come in both black and white-based colorways, add Preston's work zone-like flair to the modernized runner. Both shoes feature literal pull tabs along with the designer's signature Russian-inspired branding.
Preston's Instagram stories reveal a few more details of the collab, including translucent tongue badges and medial support wings, along with reflective details on the lateral side. Elsewhere, the model maintains its bootie construction and chunky, pod-adorned midsole.
"Having worked at Nike and understanding the full breadth of product categories the brand has to offer, I wanted to be the person to take on the challenge of identifying and celebrating new stuff," Preston said in a press release.
The Heron Preston x Nike Huarache E.D.G.E. is set to release exclusively in the U.S. on Friday, Feb. 1.
