PUMA and STAMPD have linked up to celebrate the legacy of the Suede with a one-of-its-kind collaboration.
To celebrate 50 years of the iconic PUMA Suede, the sneaker giants are dropping a series of limited-edition Suedes and the latest in that series sees them connect with avant-streetwear brand STAMPD to drop a sneaker that's made for the ready made for the streets.
The commemorative Suede is influenced by the first time STAMPD's creative director Chris Stamp stepped out in a pair of PUMA Suedes in 1988 – and how it's been a style essential for him ever since: "In 1988, 20 years after the Suede launch, I got my hands on my first pair. The brands I’ve been fortunate to align with are brands I grew up idolizing – brands that inspired me. This one hit home and it was important to make it special from the sole to laces."
With a reputation for revolutionizing elevated, modern streetwear, STAMPD has remastered the Suede with levels of avant-street sophistication. The PUMA x STAMPD Suede sneaker takes on the characteristics of two shoes in one; the upper designed with smooth, premium suede while the lower mirrors an unfinished design with rough edges and a textured soul. On the side of the sneaker is a stamp print which contains all the sneaker's specifications.
The PUMA x STAMPD Suede is released globally on August 4th and is available at Hanon, End Clothing and Foot Patrol.
