Kojey Radical brought his heartfelt wit and wisdom to the adidas Originals EQT Creator Studio in London by hosting an essential slam poetry workshop for young creatives. The East London wordsmith shed light on his story, inspirations and essential DIY secrets behind his creative process; themed around adidas' concept of 'Essentialism', the strategy—"Everything that is essential. Nothing that is not"—was investigated during the workshop.
The deep-dive interview was followed by an interactive workshop hosted by Kojey and centred around 'finding your authorial voice', where the young guests were tasked with creating a piece of slam poetry that addresses their own lives whilst drawing from differing perspectives.
The session was aimed at helping people overcome fears and self-doubt, with Kojey Radical's closing statement "speak your truth and trust your journey" no doubt helping to inspire the coming wave of lyricists in London.
