Hender Scheme and Adidas Originals have collaborated to re-imagine three Adidas silhouettes, reinvented with a luxury feel and aesthetic.
Through the use of quality materials and construction, each model is individual to the wearer as the shoes age and morph through natural use, providing a constant reminder of the craftsmanship of shoemaking. Every shoe made is created with the intention of wear as they will improve over time.
The iconic Adidas NMD has its boost midsole removed and replaced with a fully replaceable nail-in sole. The other two shoes within the collection — the Superstar and the MicroPacer — are given the same treatment. Each shoe has been stripped down to the basics and recreated in Hender Scheme's iconic pastel tone and a luxury aesthetic.
Each label includes a unique sizing system, with the number of nails in the outsole corresponding with each model's size ranging from 1 (UK 4.5) to 7 (UK 10.5).
The collection is hand-crafted in Tokyo using naturally tanned leather on the upper and lining. Hender's Scheme x Adidas Originals collection launches at selected retailers from September 2, with prices ranging from $900-$1000. To keep an eye on the countdown to launch, click here.
