He and his father have made it no secret—Lonzo Ball's dream job isn't just being an NBA point guard, but more specifically, being point guard for the Los Angeles Lakers. The team drawing the second overall pick in this year's draft made Ball's dream a realistic possibility, and today he auditioned for the gig.

For one of the most important days of his basketball career, Ball showed up to the facility not wearing his much talked about Big Baller Brand ZO2 signature sneaker, instead opting for James Harden's debut model by Adidas. Ball played in the Harden Vol. 1 during his freshman season at UCLA. He decided to mimic the shoe's Boost cushioning technology when designing the ZO2, but Boost is no gimmick—it's a well-researched performance enhancer that he likely doesn't get when wearing is own model.

While Sneaker Shopping with Complex, Ball told Joe La Puma that he'd likely be playing in the ZO2 this season, but doesn't appear to be ready to take that leap just yet. Adidas reportedly passed on a co-branding opportunity with the incoming rookie proposed by his father LaVar Ball earlier this year.
