Is there any sneaker at the moment that's more exciting than the Big Baller Brand Z02, the first signature offering for the soon-to-be-drafted Lonzo Ball? Sure: legitimate sneaker brands with actual research and development teams behind their products are cranking out all sorts of techy new models. But few of those are as entertaining as the saga of this silhouette, pushed largely by Lonzo's outspoken father, LaVar.
Up to this point, the mostly black pair included in the press rollout of the shoes was the only colorway the public had seen. Lonzo changed that with the quiet debut of what looks rather like a "Triple Black" take on his first signature model, seen in the above ad from Foot Locker. Most notably the sneaker lacks the bright liner and medial stitching seen on that first pair.
Will this one be another $495 retail offering, or will it stay as a sample and turn into a unicorn for Big Baller Brand collectors? There's not been any news from BBB on what's coming next in terms of colorways, so there is little indication so far of this shoe's fate.
