The Chuck Taylor All Star might be rooted in basketball, but the silhouette has been able to transition into many other footwear categories over the years. For its latest release, professional skater Louie Lopez and Converse have teamed up on a Chuck Taylor All Star skate shoes inspired by Lopez's hometown of Hawthorne, California.
While sticking to the iconic shape and design of the original Chuck Taylor All Star, the Louie Lopez x Converse CTAS Pro High Top gets beefed up for skateboarding with a durable suede upper, a plush inside lining and CONS traction rubber for increased grip. To represent the California-based skater's hometown, the back of the tongue features a map of Hawthorne and the insole features the city's seal. The light grey upper is also used to represent calm summer colors in the city.
The Louie Lopez x Converse CTAS Pro High Top is available now for $80 at Converse and other select retailers.
