Ewing Athletics is known for its flagship model sneaker, the Ewing 33 Hi, and brand is teaming up with rapper 2 Chainz for the latest release.
The 2 Chainz x Ewing Athletics 33 Hi features a black and grey checkered print that looks to be inspired by Louis Vuitton's Damier pattern. White piping is used on the seams, while a metallic silver color is incorporated on the laces and sockliners. Shining light on the sneakers reveal an entirely reflective upper. On the heel of the right sneakers, the traditional "33 Ewing" is replaced by "2 Chainz."
"I am eager and excited to mix sports and music and turn it into an art," said 2 Chainz. "I had a chance to design the shoes which was a breathtaking process as a creative."
The 2 Chainz x Ewing Athletic 33 Hi is scheduled to release on March 21 at ewingathletics.com and other select retailers. To celebrate the launch of the collaboration, 2 Chainz will host a meet and greet at Jimmy Jazz in Harlem NYC at 5pm on March 21. Another event will take place at City Gear in Atlanta on March 23.
