Before Converse could launch Dwyane Wade's fifth signature sneaker in 2009, he made the decision to jump to Jordan Brand. Wade was only two official releases deep when he moved on to Li-Ning three years later. Now preparing for his 14th NBA season, and first as a Chicago Bull, Wade will finally see a signature line reach its fifth model.
Here's a detailed look at the Li-Ning Way of Wade 5 in the vibrant "14 Volt" colorway. The shoe, which doesn't stray too far from what we've seen from the Way of Wade line thus far, is an open-hole mesh-constructed mid-top. A geometric pattern lines the interior, while references to the number '5' can be found on the heel tab and outsole.
An official release date hasn't been announced, but the word is that this colorway will launch during Wade's China tour this summer.
