Michael Jordan's son's sneaker store, Trophy Room, held its grand opening yesterday and as expected, there was a tonofheat in the building. Everyone came dressed to impressed, but one guy wore a pair so crazy that it made Marcus Jordan himself do a double take.

@theheatcheckcom, who's also a sneaker store owner, pulled the ultimate stunt by breaking out a pair of Marcus Jordan's own Air Jordan XVII+ PEs from the Trophy Room owner's middle school days for the first time ever.

According to The Heat Check, these player exclusives are over 13 years old, meaning they would've been produced around the XVII+'s original run in 2003 and while Marcus Jordan was 12, so everything lines up with the background provided. There isn't much more info about this pair online, although there's an older post that calls them a Jeffrey Jordan PE, so it's possible that these were made for both of MJ's sons.

Unfortunately, this rare pair ended up suffering the same fate that so many older deadstock sneakers experience, and the nubuck portion at the heel began cracking after finally being worn for the first time. Check out the photos below.
