The second and final part of the “Posters” pack, this monochromatic Air Jordan 2 is by far one of the best to have been released in recent memory. Continuing the subtle stylings of the accompanying Air Jordan 12, the upper is highly textured tumbled leather, finished with subtle black “Wing It” branding the heel of both shoes. With the success of the first part of the pack, this second installment looks to reverse the trend of non-collaboration Air Jordan 2s being seen as lower-tier Jordans.

The revolution of the classic Chuck Taylor from Converse continues with the latest special pack. The modernized classic (featuring drop-in Lunarlon cushioning from Nike) comes decked out in camo prints over the traditional canvas upper, but this time with generous helpings of the highly reflective 3M materials. The first Hi model comes in brown-olive military camo, the second in a black-grey palette. The most subtle of the pack is the Lo, which is predominantly white with a grey camo print, and looks to be the most wearable (and my personal pick) of the pack.

As we approach the now-annual Air Max Day celebrations, one of the most iconic runners of the 90s returns. The Nike Air Max BW has been a cultural and fashion icon for decades, overshadowing its counterpart shoe, the Air 180 (both debuted in 1991 after the Air Max 90). Serving as the wider and more aggressive Yin to the 180’s long and lean Yang, BW’s have gained a huge following amongst dedicated Swoosh collectors.  Releasing again after 3 years (not including the Gen II versions), the Persian is a perennial fan favourite. Although official pictures hint at a lighter, blue-ish violet compared to the OG pairs, seeing the Persian BWs in stock again will be a welcome sight for many around the world.

The folks out of Beaverton have always liked to recycle popular colourways, with the Persian colourway recently finding itself tastefully draped on the resurgent Air Presto silhouette. In a move that seems like a subtle way to reward Australia’s love affair with certain Air Max silhouette, Nike have given us a “Tribute” shoe to the much-loved Persian colourway and the much-maligned (but still insanely popular), Air Max TN. Decked out in a black upper with white stripes, all sitting on a white midsole, pops of Persian Violet give the shoe an unmistakable connection to the legendary classic BW.

Better late than never, Australia finally gets to see a local release of the Chinese New Year themed Air Jordan 5 Low. A black upper is offset with bright crimson highlights all over the shoe, with accents hitting the iconic shark teeth on the midsole, eyelets and air unit. The stand-out feature of the entire shoe is the intricate Chinese themed pattern that graces the heel, tongue and insole. If you like your kicks looking business up the front but with a little bit of party at the back, look no further than this release.
