The latest retro Jordan to get the low treatment is the timeless black tongue variant of the “Fire Red” colourway. Featuring the instantly recognizable black and Fire Red midsole, the white upper gets reworked with the iconic sidemesh being blacked out and “23” on the heel being removed completely. The black tongue with red Jumpman remains, along with the red lining. Releasing in big numbers, with grade school and toddler sizes also available, now is a good a time as any to kit out the entire family in Jordans.

With the exclusive Uncaged versions of the Ultraboost silhouette taking their place as the pinnacle of the Boost range, the incredibly popular original Ultraboost silhouette has maintained its stranglehold on fashion-conscious consumers with a range of colourways being released. This latest iteration sees the Ultraboost getting back to basics with a greyscale Primeknit upper upon a crispy white BOOST midsole. With a nearly decadelong partnership between Patta and ASICS producing some of the most desired shoes in sneaker history, the two reunite to add to the overflowing Patta archives. Utilising the recently revived GEL-Respector silhouette, the Dutch streetwear purveyors have flipped the script by taking cues from Japan (instead of their hometown Amsterdam), with a visually striking blend of orange, blue, teal and grey premium suedes. Being a Patta collaboration, you can expect to find little details that really set the shoe apart, this time these touches come in the form of classic debossed Patta branding on the heel and the tongue pull.

With no end in sight to the athleisure trend that is dominating street fashion at the moment, Nike have continued to deliver the goods with yet another Flyknit Racer colourway. Eschewing the route that other sneaker companies have chosen, Nike has kept their most recognizable and popular Flyknit model completely in-house, without any collaborations or other hype-creating. Dressed in bright Fireberry with Volt accents, this latest iteration will be flying off shelves when they drop this week!

Although Jordan Brand have been re-issuing their classic OG colourways of Jordans for decades now, when news surfaced that Nike was due to re-issue what might be the greatest ever Air Max 1, the internet went into meltdown. Back in 20013, Japanese titans atmos fused two shoes created in 1987 from the Nike archives, the Air Safari and the original Air Max, and created a timeless and still highly sought after, Air Max 1 B ‘Safari’.

Featuring the Safari print all along the mudguard and heel, the upper was a blend of tan suedes on top of a simple white midsole and gum outsole. This time around, the overall look remains the same blend of suedes and safari print, but the toebox suede has flipped to nappy suede and the gumsole replaced with an icy translucent outsole. The small toebox ‘mini-swoosh’ also makes a return but so does Nike’s recent aversion to re-creating the sharp toebox of older models. Regardless of your opinion on the bananafication of the shoe, this re-issue will be snapped up quickly by older collectors looking to replace their 13 year-old OGs and newer collectors that can finally get their feet into what was an unattainable classic.
