This March PUMA will dropping the 'Old vs. New' pack, which will see the release of both the iconic R698 and it’s younger brother, the 698 IGNITE.

Reissued as lifestyle sneaker, the R698 has been setting the game alight in recent years and Spring 2016 will see the beloved model start a new chapter with the release of the 698 IGNITE. This modern iteration, which utilises the IGNITE FOAM, aims to speak to the sneakerhead with a taste for the latest innovation in style and comfort. Currently the IGNITE FOAM is being used for PUMA’s most energised running shoes, but with its introduction to the 698 model it looks like it will be an integral component in sneaker culture.

Using a dark routed colourway, the R698 features an open mesh with reflective underlays offering a fresh, crisp look. Furthermore a bright violet and minor lime detailing adds a depth of contrast for the premium sneaker. The white 698 IGNITE features an identical open mesh upper similar to its older brother, while the bonded overlays are added in violet and lime to further elevate the sneaker to another level.

The PUMA 'Old vs. New' pack will be available from select retailers and webstores such as END Clothing, Chimp and Urban Industry from March 25. The R698 will cost you £85, whilst the 698 IGNITE will retail at £85. For a closer look at both sneakers scroll down to our gallery below.
