Saucony Originals' latest conception of the classic GRID 8000 premium brings together the world of sportswear and streetwear to craft three eye-catching colourways of the iconic '90s silhouette.
Over 20 years ago, Saucony introduced the world to a piece of footwear technology dubbed the ‘GRID System’ (Ground Reaction Inertia Device). It was designed to simultaneously absorb shock and control mediolateral motion, this would evolve in the next two decades. Three years later they updated the design with the GRID 8000 CL which blended composite Hytrel filaments molded in an interlocking configuration. This was designed to reduce shock and enhance stability by working with the midsole.
Additionally the shoe features Wolverine Silkee Suede and mesh panels throughout the upper as warm nod to the sneaker’s original sportswear roots. This is finished off with the Saucony signature embed proudly on the heel counter. The GRID 8000 comes in three clourways: maroon, teal and —which sit atop a fresh white EVA midsole with a black/teal outer sole that compliments the intricate upper details.
