Nike has always done a great job of telling Kevin Durant's story through his sneakers, and few colorways tell one as powerful as the "Aunt Pearl" editions. This floral colorway pays tribute to his aunt who passed away from lung cancer in 2000, and raises funds and awareness for cancer patients.
This colorway has made appearances on most Nike KD models, and now it looks like a KD 8 version is releasing this month. Mo_schino took to Instagram to share off his pair, which sports a white, blue, purple, pink, and red floral colorway, inspired by a robe that Durant's aunt used to wear. It's great to see how popular a sneaker that raises awareness for cancer treatment and honors Durant's aunt has become.
Sole Collectorreports that sneaker will release on Feb. 22, for $200.
