The long awaited "Black" OVO x Air Jordan X Retros finally saw an official release today.
Despite a minor delay, fans were given the chance to cop the highly coveted sneaker through Nike's drawing system via its SNKRS app. For those not familiar with the process, the drawing makes use of the individual's Nike account and gives the customer a 30 minute window to "order" the shoe. If chosen, the winner is notified and the customer's credit card is automatically charged. The process is a better alternative to the traditional race to see who could add to cart first and addresses the bots issue.
However, the process still has some issues with fans taking to Twitter to voice their displeasure with many complaining of multiple "Air Ball" error messages or simply not being able to enter at all. As long as limited edition product is made, there will always be customers left empty-handed. Here are some of the feelings shared by sneakerheads on Twitter regarding Nike's OVO release:
