If you thought adidas' NMD offerings were going to begin and end with the Runner silhouette, you were wrong.

Sole Collector spotted an unreleased NMD sample that takes on the shape of a chukka. It also forgoes the Primeknit and mesh constructions we've seen on previous releases for an upper composed almost entirely of black suede.

Small hits of leather appear on the eyelets, tongue, and collar, while the NMD's signature woven heel tab remains mostly unchanged. Down low, the traditional Boost-powered NMD midsole cushions the ride for this lifestyle shoe.

Get a good look at this adidas NMD sample here, because there's no telling when or if they'll end up seeing an official release. If you just can't wait, there's a lightly worn size 9 pair available from Portland, Ore., consignment shop Index PDX for a whopping $1,200. Yeah — we'd wait this one out if we were you.
