One of the highlight of Air Jordan retro releases over the last year has been the brand's "remastered" strategy, which helps restore classic sneakers to their original design. While this has come with price increases, the overall response has been positive, especially with Jordan Brand including O.G. details like the Nike Air branding. The Air Jordan V "Black Metallic" is getting the remastered treatment this summer, and these new photos show how well of a job Nike did on them.

Of course, the first detail that stands out is the classic Nike Air branding on the heel, which is back by popular demand. The rest of the sneaker follows some of the upgrades we've become accustomed to with remastered retros, including the usage of materials that is more consistent with O.G. releases. One interesting detail that Sneakers.FR pointed out is that the outsole is noticeably more blue than the original, which was transparent. I guess we can't have it all, right?

This sneaker will release on July 23, for $220.
