Footwear News held its 19th Achievement Awards last night, and while most of the headlines were dominated by Kanye West winning "Shoe of the Year" for the adidas Yeezy Boost, some other sneaker brands also won big. Taking home the "Brand of the Year" award was Under Armour, who has had a record-setting 2015.

Footwear Newscited the brand's record-setting revenue year and growing roster of champion professional athletes as some of the winning factors. Of course, you can't mention Under Armour without talking about how big of a year Stephen Curry has had. Having the reigning NBA MVP and league champion as the face of your brand is a good way to compete for top brand of the year. While Under Armour still has a long way to go to catch up to Nike and other big players, 2015 has surely been a step in the right direction.
