This past summer, Klay Thomson was photographed at an Anta sneaker event looking not-so-thrilled about the sneakers the brand were presenting. Thompson is a new signee to the brand, and some of his facial expressions made it seem like he expected more from the sneakers he would be wearing for the foreseeable future. To nobody's surprise, these photos helped create a roast fest about Thompson and his new sneakers, but yesterday he took time to finally address the photos, and it turns out that the internet was very wrong about his reaction.
Sole Collector was on hand for Anta KT1 event yesterday, and decided to ask Thompson about the photos to get the truth about his feelings towards the sneakers. "I had a long night the night before. We just flew in. Two long nights. That's about it," said Thompson. Given the demanding schedule of an NBA player, this seems like a reasonable explanation, but of course, people didn't want to read into it that much and preferred to just go in on him instead. Given the check Thompson is getting to ball in Anta sneakers, we're sure he has nothing to complain about.
