Earlier this month, we learned that Jordan Brand's 2016 Retro Remasters would shift their focus from aesthetics and materials of the sneakers to the comfort and fit, but it looks like that's not the only thing getting an overhaul next year.

These images show the box that will house the Air Jordan XII "The Master" when it arrives in late February. If it looks familiar, it's because it's styled after the Air Jordan XII's original packaging from 1996. The 2016 version isn't exactly the same — Jumpman logos replace Swoosh branding (no surprise there) — but everything else matches up pretty closely, including the memorable hit of red around the top.

Whether you're old enough to remember the brand's glory days or are just a purist at heart, this should be a welcome change for Jordan heads. The Air Jordan XII "The Master" will release on February 27 for $190. Take a closer look at the kicks here.
